Alejandra Gómez de la Torre, a Peruvian writer-director based in Barcelona, has mastered the art of collecting embarrassing stories since 1992. Her creative focus revolves around women, vulvas, and her grandmother. She recently finished a Master’s in directing at ESCAC. Her debut animated short film, THE VULVALAXY has won two awards and received 10 festival selections.

Sixteen-year-old Marta and her young mother, Sabrina, embark on a journey to Málaga for Marta’s much-anticipated labiaplasty. Over the course of two days, their once-close bond is tested, while Marta starts to doubt her own desire for surgery and wrestles with the deeper motivations behind her decision.
