Kyrylo Zemlyanyi is a director, born in Tokmak, Ukraine. His latest film, RE-RECORD had its national premiere at the Kyiv International Short Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. It was also presented at: Palm Springs ShortFest, FEST New Directors/New Films, etc. Kyrylo’s new project UNAVAILABLE was presented as part of the Euro Connection at the Festival du court métrage de Clermont-Ferrand and CoProduction Forum as part of the Brussels Short Film Festival.

logline / short synopsis
UNAVAILABLE is a 15-minute short fiction film which depicts a slice of the life of a 20-year-old man – Serhii. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he evacuates to the west of Ukraine where he works as a volunteer. On the eve of his mother’s evacuation from the occupied hometown, they lose connection. The next day, Serhii learns that the humanitarian convoy, where his mother could have been, was destroyed by a Russian bombing attack.
